Questions, bug reports, or a calculation that looks wrong:

We read every message. If you're reporting a calculation problem, include the inputs you used and what result you expected — it makes it far quicker to track down.

Common questions

Do the calculators work without a signal?

Yes. All 18 calculators run entirely on your device and need no network connection — which is the point, since job sites rarely have one. Only Ask the Code requires a connection, because it queries an AI service.

Which code editions are supported?

NEC 2023, 2020, and 2017, plus NFPA 72 for fire alarm and low-voltage work. You can select the edition your jurisdiction has adopted when you ask a question.

How accurate are the AI answers?

Ask the Code cites the specific article or section so you can verify it against your adopted code book. Treat it as a fast pointer to the right reference, not as a substitute for the code itself or for your AHJ. Adoption varies by jurisdiction, and the authority having jurisdiction always governs. Verify before you rely on an answer in the field.

Is there a limit on AI questions?

Yes — there is a daily cap per user to keep the service available and affordable for everyone. If you hit it, the limit resets at midnight.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no login, no registration, and no email required. Install it and it works.

What data does the app collect?

Effectively none — no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. The calculators never transmit anything. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Reporting a code or calculation error

If a calculator returns a result you believe is wrong, please tell us. Include the calculator name, every input value, the result you got, and the result you expected (with the code reference if you have it). Accuracy matters more to us than anything else in this app.
